i used a template and created a layer over the top so that i could see my drawing and i could draw lines over the top to create a graphical version of my townscape drawing. using a layer really helped me to recreate my drawing because it allows me to accurately draw lines on top of the template but draws the image on another layer.
i used the selection tool to select an area of the lines I've drawn and opened the brush library. i could choose from a variety of brush strokes so i chose an expressive brush effect and changed the colour to a lighter grey and decreased the thickness so it blended in a bit more. i liked this effect as it gives a realistic painted effect and there are a lot of effects to choose from.
